Info: Suzanne has been an experienced Funeral Administrator and Funeral Director for 8 years and since beginning work as a Funeral Celebrant 18 months ago has taken over 300 Funeral Services.
Her aim is to be able to help and support families through what is possibly one of the most difficult times of their lives, which is, without doubt, a privilege and she continues to find her knowledge and background as a funeral administrator and funeral director to be invaluable.
Being able to suggest ways to bring comfort, as part of the service for a family’s loved one through a unique and personal tribute, is part of her role of being a celebrant.
Presenting services that celebrate the life and truly reflect the personality of a family’s loved one, through the choice of music, readings, sometimes with a little respectful humour and of course the tribute, is an important part of that service. The opportunity for family and friends to take part in that celebration is also something they may wish to consider, as well as the inclusion of prayers and hymns. The service of celebration should be a true representation of the wishes and needs of the bereaved family.
As a celebrant Suzanne’s compassionate nature shows empathy and care which is reflected in the services she has had the privilege to conduct. Her funeral services are not just for those who have passed away, but also for the needs of all those who mourn

Training: NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy (RQF) – Civil Ceremonies Ltd
Info: A few years ago, my friend’s daughter died; she was the same age as my eldest. Her funeral, had a huge impact on my life. It was the first celebrant led funeral that I had been to and I was stunned by the difference between this and funerals I had previously attended. I left the crematorium uplifted by the celebration of Katie’s life; warmed by the way the celebrant had captured the essence of her and shared it with those whose lives she had touched and who had gathered to remember and say goodbye. It changed the way I view death and, now I am semi-retired, I feel privileged to be in a position where I can do what that celebrant did - support bereaved families to share their memories, enabling me to capture and tell their loved one’s story in the way they wish, without the ties of ritual or tradition.
